Cyseekin C20 display guide: screen, symbols, and error codes explained simply

Your Cyseekin C20 display shows important information such as battery status, speed, support level, ride data, and possible error codes. In this guide, we explain the most important functions step by step.

Note: Depending on the production batch or software version, the display may vary slightly. However, the basic operation remains the same.

1. Overview: What does the C20 display show?

On the main screen, you can see the most important information at a glance while riding. This includes, among other things, the current speed, battery status, support level, and various ride data.

Button Function Typical use
Power button Turn on and off, switch ride data Start display, show information such as distance or total kilometers
Plus button Increase support level More support on inclines, against wind, or with heavy loads

4. Turning the display on and off

  1. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn on the display.
  2. After turning on, speed, battery level, and other information appear on the screen.
  3. To turn off, press and hold the power button again for a few seconds.
Important: Please do not connect or disconnect any cables while the e-bike is turned on. This can damage electronic components.

5. Display Ride Data

By briefly pressing the power button, you can switch between different ride information. Depending on the software version, the following data may be displayed:

Display Meaning
Trip Daily distance or current trip distance
AVG Average speed
Vol Battery voltage

6. Using Support Levels Correctly

You can adjust the support level using the plus and minus buttons. A low level is suitable for relaxed rides and saving energy. A higher level can be helpful on inclines, against wind, or with additional load.

Recommendation: Start with a low or medium support level in everyday use and adjust the support according to the route, weight, and riding feel.

7. Activating Walk Assist

The walk assist supports you when you need to push the e-bike, for example on a ramp, in an underground garage, or on a short steep section.

  1. Make sure the bike is stationary or moving very slowly.
  2. Hold down the minus button.
  3. The walk assist symbol appears on the display.
  4. Release the minus button to end the walk assist.
Please note: The walk assist is intended for pushing the bike. Use this function carefully and make sure there is enough space in front of the bike.

8. Lighting

The lighting of the C20 is controlled via the corresponding light switch. Depending on the version, a light symbol may be displayed on the screen.

If the light does not work as expected, please first check whether the battery is sufficiently charged and whether all visible cable connections are properly seated.

9. Display Settings

The display has a settings menu. This menu is mainly intended for basic display settings, such as choosing between kilometers and miles.

Important: The Cyseekin C20 is factory-set appropriately. Please do not change any advanced parameters unless you are sure. Incorrect settings can affect the normal function of the e-bike. For questions, please contact Cyseekin Support first.

10. Understanding Error Codes

When the display detects a malfunction, an error code appears. This code helps to narrow down the problem more quickly.

Error code Possible meaning Recommended initial check
E01 Possible motor phase error Turn off the e-bike and check visible cable connections
E04 Communication error Check plug connections between display, controller, and wiring harness
E08 Overvoltage protection Check battery and system again after restart
E10 Possible controller error Restart the system and document the error display
E20 Possible switch or control element error Check brake lever, switch, and cable connections
E40 Possible motor Hall sensor error Check motor connection and contact support
  1. Turn off the e-bike.
  2. Check that all visible cable connections are firmly seated.
  3. Turn the e-bike on again.
  4. If the error continues to appear, please take a photo or a short video of the display.
  5. Send the error code and the recording to Cyseekin Support.

11. Care Instructions for the Display

Recommendation Why is this important?
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth Protects the surface of the display
Do not direct a strong water jet directly at the display Reduces the risk of moisture damage
Do not disconnect cables while the system is on Protects electronic components
Do not change advanced parameters without consultation Prevents malfunctions caused by incorrect settings

I saw an interesting post in the Cyseekin community about adjusting the C20 speed limit settings:

    https://cyseekinbike.com/en/pages/cyseekin-hilfe-community#post-1b865e58-004d-44da-b2b5-adf8fca1b837

This could be useful for C20 riders who feel that 25 km/h is not always enough when riding with faster friends or in a group. With the right settings, it may be easier to keep up without too much effort.

Of course, everyone should always follow their local laws and regulations. In many EU countries, including Germany, Pedelecs are only allowed to provide motor assistance up to 25 km/h on public roads.

Still, it is helpful to know that these settings can be checked and understood more clearly.
