Adjusting brake disc noise

These instructions apply to the Cyseekin C10. In many cases, rubbing or friction noises at the brake disc are not caused by a defective part, but by slight misalignment after transport or assembly.

A quick adjustment can often resolve the noise quickly.

In most cases, it is sufficient to slightly loosen the brake caliper, realign it, and then tighten it again.
Important: Switch off the e-bike before making the adjustment. Then check the brake while stationary first and do not continue riding until the brake function is smooth and safe.

Typical indication

You hear a slight rubbing or recurring noise at the brake disc when turning the wheel.

Quick guide:

  1. Switch off the e-bike and park it securely.
  2. First check whether the brake disc spins freely and where the rubbing noise is coming from.
  3. Slightly loosen the brake caliper mounting bolts.
  4. Realign the brake caliper so that the brake disc runs as centrally as possible.
  5. Then tighten the screws evenly again.
  6. Turn the wheel again and check whether the noise has disappeared.
  7. If necessary, repeat the fine adjustment once more.
  8. Then carefully test the brake while stationary and subsequently at low speed.

Important final step

  1. After the adjustment, please first check that it functions correctly while stationary.
  2. Then test the e-bike carefully at low speed.
  3. Do not use the e-bike normally again until everything is working correctly.
